Slime
Slime can be sensitive to temperature, especially during warmer weather. It is completely normal for slime to arrive a little softer, stickier, or slightly melted after shipping. This does not necessarily mean there is anything wrong with your slime!
Each order includes a small bag of borax powder that can be used to make activator and help bring an overly sticky or melted slime back to the right consistency. Do not add the borax powder directly to your slime. Follow the instructions included with your order to properly mix and use the activator, adding only a little at a time to avoid over-activating your slime.
For complete instructions, please refer to the Slime Care Sheet included with your order or visit the Slime Care section of our website.
*You can also purchase premade activator located in the activator tab at the top.*
Tip: If your slime arrives very warm, allow it to cool to room temperature before adding activator—it may firm back up on its own.
Slime can sometimes become firmer or less stretchy over time, especially during colder weather or after being stored for a while. Don't worry—your slime can often be softened back up!
Try warming the slime with your hands and slowly stretching and kneading it. If it is still too firm, add a small amount of unscented lotion or a few drops of glycerin and knead thoroughly. Add only a little at a time—you can always add more.
For clear slime: avoid adding lotion, as it can make the slime cloudy. A few drops of glycerin can be used instead.
For more tips, check the Slime Care Sheet included with your order or visit the Slime Care section on our website.
Tip: Keep slime sealed tightly in its container when you're not playing with it. Slime naturally loses moisture over time, which can cause it to shrink or become firmer.
With normal use, slime can generally last around 2–5 months, and with proper care, it may last even longer! Slime naturally changes over time, but taking good care of it can help keep it soft, stretchy, and fun for as long as possible.
To help your slime last longer, always play with clean, dry hands, keep it away from dirty surfaces, and return it to its container when you're finished. Keep the lid tightly closed to prevent moisture from escaping, and store your slime at room temperature away from direct sunlight or excessive heat.
If your slime becomes sticky, firm, or less stretchy, don't throw it away! Check the Slime Care Sheet included with your order or visit the Slime Care section of our website for tips on bringing it back to the perfect consistency. 🧸✨
Clear slime can become cloudy or foggy after playing with it, and that's completely normal! As you stretch, squeeze, and pull the slime, tiny air bubbles become trapped inside, making a normally clear slime look cloudy or even almost white.
To help it become clear again, place the slime back in its container, close the lid tightly, and let it sit undisturbed for a few days. As the air bubbles slowly rise and disappear, the slime should gradually become clearer again.
The natural oils, lotions, dirt, and moisture on your hands can also affect how clear the slime stays. For the best clarity, always play with clear slime using clean, dry hands and avoid adding lotion, which can permanently make clear slime cloudy.
Tip: Clear slime loves a little rest! If it looks cloudy after a long play session, give it some time in its container and watch it clear back up.
Slime can be a fun, creative sensory activity for kids, but adult supervision is recommended for children under 6. Slime is made for playing—not eating—and should always be kept away from the mouth, eyes, pets, and very young children.
Slime can also stick to clothing, carpet, furniture, hair, and other fabrics, so we recommend playing at a table or on an easy-to-clean surface with clean, dry hands.
For younger or newer slime users, clay-based textures such as butter slime and slay slime are often easier to handle. They tend to be softer, more holdable, and less sticky than many clear or glossy slimes, making them a great choice for beginners.
Every slime texture is a little different, so check the difficulty level on the product listing to help choose the best slime for your child.
